Whereas an incredible 19 from Zeon, without counting the ones from the MS IGLOO spinoffs yet, with examples such as the Zaku, Zaku II, Dom (Rick-Dom), Gelgoog, Gyan, Zeong, ETC. There is around 5 notable ones from EFSF, being the Guntank, Guncannon, Gundam, GM, and BALL. It should however also be considered that the starkest of contrast between Zeon and Earth Federation is the number of types of weapons/equipments implemented. From the poorly implemented mobile armors (Elemeth, etc.) to the lack of political stability, Zeon itself was in turmoil whilst fighting off the Earth Federation.
Zeon as a faction in 0079's defeat, however, is obvious and was pointed out already. That's like saying capitalism > communism when the USSR collapsed, but as we can see, it's not true.
